Maker extraordinaire,Courtney is the author of5 art books translated into 6 languages.Courtney teaches workshops all over the country and online atCreativebug.com where she is Editor-in-Chief. Her work has been featured onOh Happy Day,Design Sponge, theSF Chronicle, InstagramandBuzzFeed. She makes something everyday and can be found oninstagram as @ccerruti She sees books as objects to be read and re-purposed, candy wrappers as paper flower petals, toilet paper tubes as a menagerie of animals. She sees the potential in the discarded, history in the mundane and art in the everyday. She saves everything, makes anything and teaches from a place of passion and authenticity. Courtney believes everyone is creative and she'd rather spend an evening drinking tea and painting than doing anything else (except maybe scavenging treasures abroad). You can find her books online and at your local bookstore. In this class, Courtney creates Halloween shadow puppets using the Cricut Explore cutting machine. These spooky Victorian silhouettes are fun to make and even more fun to put into action. Courtney shares tips for using different types of materials, like card stock and wood veneer, and how to add your own decorative flare using paint or ribbons.
